IKEA TRIP + MINI HAUL

We absolutely adore IKEA and seeing as a store has now opened nearby (Reading) we felt it would be rude to take the quick drive down for a visit. We didn't buy much but we're not redecorating our rooms so didn't really have a lot of reasoning to back us going wild. 

We did however have an amazing afternoon and thought we'd do a little blog post listing the reasons we love this Swedish Paradise as well as our purchases!

MINI HAUL

Candles SINNLIG £1.75 We bought two scents: 'Red Garden Berry' and 'Peach and Orange'

Clothing Rail MULIG £6.95

Beer tankard MJOD £1 - we bought 4 and will have pre-drink in no other

aaaaandddd some plants

REASONS WE LOVE IKEA:

CANDLES ARE LESS THAN £2

We cannot walk past a candle and not buy it on a good day but when its this 

cheap its impossible

FOOD

We know everyone goes on about the meatballs (we rate them too don't worry) 

buuut have you tried the Daim cake  - heaven  huns

FAMILY VIBE

Everyone seems to go Ikea as a family outing which is super cute and we 

love people watching so it's jokes seeing the different dynamics. 

Especially when the dad's are left unattended with the kids - 

we saw one  guy fully in the bed with his kids running wild in the room 

FLAT-PACK = SELF ACCOMPLISHMENT

Flat-pack items are as close as we get to DIY 

We're not gonna lie its a pretty nice feeling when you've FINALLY finished battling with a set of instructions and little screws and wallah you're masterpiece is created and you can sit back with a glass of wine

HOME DECOR IS LIFE

 IKEA is like heaven for inspiration and ideas

FULL OF STUFF YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU NEEDED

. Eg. The German mugs - We weren't aware our pre-drinks were basic until 

we spotted this beautiful creation before us.

We can't imagine ever drinking from any other glassware ever again  

(wine and champs being the exception) 

SWEDISH

Other than H&M its the second closest brand that lets us get our

hands on Scandinavian style/decor.


GO BIG OR GO HOME
IKEA really champions you buying more than one thing.
We don't possess the skill of self-restraint so feel right at home

BASICALLY A MAZE
It's like a maze and some stores are very oddly laid out so you literally don't know what products are around the corner. One minute we were looking at towels the next martini glasses?!
