Best Western Hotel Bentleys REVIEW

During our 4 day stay in beautiful Stockholm we chose to stay in Best Western Hotel Bentleys. We really enjoyed our stay and found the location and amenities absolutely PERFECT. We'd definitely recommend for a short-stay in Stockholm and have provided our reasoning below:

Location

Drottninggatan 77, Stockholm, 111 60, Sweden

10 minutes walk from the Central Station (Arlanda Express to the airport)

As mentioned in our earlier blog post (4 days in Stockholm), Drottninggatan is in the heart of the city and is a main pedestrian road stretching across the city centre. Therefore this hotel location could not have been more perfect for us - so many cafes, bars and restaurants were within walking distance.

The hotel is also an easy walk to Old Town, Gamla Stan and the Royal Palace (20-25mins max) literally straight down the road!

Staff were all absolutely lovely and polite especially the receptionist and cleaners! We also really appreciated that the receptionist was able to check us in 2 hours earlier than permitted because there was an available room. We were trying our luck but worked out yaaas

Room

Room was very small buuuut had cute decor, gorgeous bathroom (underfloor heating) and was very clean. We hardly spent any time in the room so it worked for us! However if you plan on staying for longer than 4 days it probably wouldn't work.

Clearly an old building that has been beautifully renovated. One of our favourite tell tales of this was the lift. As you can see below it is super old style with cage style doors which we LOVED.

Food

Breakfast is presented in the internal courtyard area which is just gorgeous.
Cold breakfast options: Cereal, fruit platters, cheese, cold meats - very continental
Hot breakfast options: Sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, toast

It's a buffet type of layout which we loved because when you're starving (ie. us every single morn) we want full reign on how much bacon goes on our plate - no portion control here huns x

Amenities
  • Pin-code door entry - you must enter a pin code when entering the main building which you are provided when checking in. Super easy and simple
  • Leaving luggage in a room after check-out.
  • Free WiFi - which thankfully was strong
  • Free coffee/tea and pastries all day every day in the lobby. This is due to a Swedish cultural tradition called Fika. Which is where locals meet-up for coffee and pastry/cake to help break up the day. Similar to afternoon tea we think!

Cost

Our stay cost £488 which we found reasonable especially considering how expensive Stockholm is as a city.

Hope you enjoyed our review!!
