Soo the time has come to order some treats from our beloved M.A.C store again...
Normally we make a day of it and head to Reading, have a few cocktails, eat a bit of sushi but we were super lazy this time and only ordered online. We did however receive a thank you free sample for doing so, so all isn't lost!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15

This is our holy grail foundation. We've tried so many ranging from high street brands all the way to the more pricey designers and nothing compares to Studio Fix.
The colour shades are amaaaazing. Being mixed race means we both received different levels of melanin from mama p - so it's been hard to find our own unique shades in foundation that suit us both individually (without being too pale or too dark) and M.A.C is a godsend for this.
We both also have different skin types which Studio Fix completely caters for; Amy has more oily skin whereas Lorraine is more dry. Amy tackles this by applying primer specifically for oily skin, fixing powder (review below) and setting spray. Lorraine's method of application is a thick moisturizer as a base, dry skin primer followed by powder.
We could go on about this foundation all day but we'll finish of by saying the coverage + lasts all daaay (helps to apply fixing spray)

We love love love the Studio Fix Powder as it does exactly what is says on the tin and 'fixes' our foundation in place. Although the case comes with a sponge for application we recommend using a powder brush instead. When applied lightly on the face, we swear to you it looks almost airbrushed.
If you are blessed with blemish free, even skin you could totally get away with wearing this alone as a base. We however are less brave and want all the help the makeup gods can give us!
We bought it in two shades: NC 43.5 to fix the liquid foundation and we use NC50 which is several shades darker for contouring purposes.
Freebie MAC Upward Lash - at the moment whenever you buy products from the official M.A.C online store you can decide on a free sample to coincide with your purchase! We chose this adorable lil mascara.
The mascara brush is quite large so would be perfect when used on our upper eyelashes however we probably won't be used on our lower set as we prefer a more subtle (yes we know, a word rarely used to describe us) look on our lower lashes.
